First Visit

Your initial appointment will consist of a consultation with one of our surgeons. Drs. Jarnot, Scotland, or Varland will explain your diagnosis and treatment options. Based on your health history and selected treatment plan, our team will get the appropriate next appointment scheduled for you at the first available date after your consultation is completePlease alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to surgery (i.e., diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.) or if you are currently taking any medication (i.e., heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.).

Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your consultation:

  • Please bring your insurance cards, both medical and dental
  • A list of medications you are presently taking

IMPORTANT: All patients under the age of 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the consultation visit.

A preoperative consultation is mandatory for all patients, whether undergoing IV anesthesia for surgery or opting for local anesthetic during your procedure.

IF YOUR SURGERY WILL REQUIRE IV ANESTHESIA: Please have nothing to eat or drink eight hours prior to your surgery. Arriving to your surgery appointment after having even just a few sips of coffee will require a rescheduling of your appointment. You will also need a responsible adult to be present for the duration of your surgical appointment (we ask all patient companions to wait in our lobby) and drive you home.

X-Rays

If your dentist or physician has taken x-rays, you may request that they forward them to our office. If there is not enough time, please pick them up and bring them to our office. If additional films are necessary, they can be taken at our facility.
